The Sound of Freedom

The Movie “The Sound of Freedom” was released in 2023, and it depicts the life of Tim Ballard a man who works for Homeland Security as he searches for children who have been stolen from their families. 

The movie is very hard to watch. 

It’s not for entertainment purposes, by no means is it enjoyable. 

But the story depicts a very real issue that has only grown in the many years broken humans have walked on this earth. 

The reality of the matter is there is an estimated amount between 600,000 and 800,000 persons trafficked across borders every year, and some statistics say that 50% of these are children. 

I must admit I don’t have much to say about this. 

I began writing this letter to shine the light on the darkness the conversation normally dwells in. But I will say this, God hates this sin just as he does any other sin. 

My struggles with greed and lust are on the same playing field as men and women who steal children. 

Don’t ever lose sight of that. Your sins are the same as theirs. Don’t think or believe you’re any better than them. 

If you have repented and believed the Gospel you are released from the slavery of sin. If not you will answer to God for your sins one day. 

If you can watch this movie let it shock you. 

Let it make you uncomfortable. 

Let the stakes of sin be heightened within your mind.
