how slow are you going?

How the Heck Do I Use Patient Marketing?

February 12, 20252 min read

Dear reader,

I want to share with you something I have discovered recently.

Humans are very impatient.

I know right? Who knew?

Over the course of these past few months I’ve found myself constantly praying and asking God to do X Y and Z. When we haven’t gotten to the part of my story where A B and C happens.

”God can’t you do this?”

”Yes. I can. But why don’t you focus on this in the meantime.”

”But I need this to happen now.”

”No you don’t. I give you what you need when you need it.”

”But-“

”Be still.“

God is amazing. He literally knows all of what can and will happen, all the best parts of my story and all the lowest parts where I will cry and scream out to Him in my pain and anger. He will never leave me or forsake me.

Even now. When I have a heavy heart and and full plate in front of me, and my prayers are out of concerns of not having enough time to do what He asks me to do. He just wants me to sit down, shut up, and Be Still.

Today, at 4:02 God wants me to Be Still and know He’s God, and I am not and I never will be him. Honestly, I don’t want to be either. I’d be terrible at it.

Think about that for a minute. You weren’t created to be in charge, you’re here to bring Him glory through your words and deeds. Why in the world do we think we know what’s best?

This carries over into our marketing in so many ways. We think we know what's best, we create and draw up plans and lay them down before God, when so much of the time He just wants us to pray and wait.

Let’s bring this all back to God. The only person we should ever fully trust and rely on.

He’s perfect. He sent his son to die so that we can accept the best gift ever, salvation. We could sit here and talk about all he’s done for me and you as well. But that’s why we live, to live and love in a way that screams the Gospel.

That’s why I’m here. I don’t know about you.

Sincerely your fellow Impatient Human
