should God give you more?

Are You Being a Good Investment?

July 09, 20252 min read

Dear reader,

I heard profound truth the other day and I felt compelled to share it with you.

“God is an investor. If you utilize and steward what He gives you, He will increase it.”

The parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30 lays out clearly what this looks like.

A man leaves some money with his three servants,

“To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.”

The first two went and used their talents to make more, doubling the amount they were given.

The last one dug a hole and put the talent in the ground.

The man returns and rejoices with the first two servants, and increases their responsibility within his domain.

The last one he rebukes severely for not using what he was given and making more out of it.

It saddens me when I see people who are not active with the tools and gifts God has given them. Most of them know they do it, they just don’t care.

I have learned over the years that God is faithful in every season, to provide and protect those who He calls His own.

I started washing dishes.

Then I captured videos and pictures.

I swept popcorn and ripped tickets.

Then I was asked to do maintenance.

I remember stocking deli items.

Then I was asked to help in Produce, Freezers, and The Kitchen.

I started serving on a media team.

Then I became a Media Team Leader.

I remember serving youth as a counselor.

Then I became a teacher.

I learned how to serve others in their businesses.

Then God gave me my own business.

God gave me talents and I did my best with what I had. Not always the best I admit, but in the end, I stuck it out every time.

Are you using what God has given you?

Are you asking Him to give you more when you are ignoring the tasks he has given you already?

Sincerely,

Your Fellow Investment
