A Demons First Assignment

Dear Barnuss, 

One of the chief demons told me you were deployed the day before last. I must say I am so thrilled to hear of your eagerness to run to the front lines. Control your breathing and keep a level head. You will do terribly, I just know it. 

I saw on the report you were given the newborn son of my target. What a small world. We can now work hand in hand with our tactics to bring as much misery to the family as a whole. 

A baby can easily be twisted from the get-go, they are actually quite vile creatures. Do you recall your training at The University of Malice? Specifically, the class Professor Gorlor taught on the ‘human condition’? 

All humans have a deep sinful nature. They have no desire whatsoever to please their creator. They are born with chaos and rebellion in their mind, and it is our job to cultivate that within them from a young age. So start right away by tempting that animal to dishonor and disobey its parents at all costs. 

Guide its emotions like cattle, trick them into thinking its guardians know nothing and don’t have any intentions of taking care of it. 

I recently spoke with the Enemy and He is allowing my target to finally become a paster. It is going to be fantastic, the church he’s heading towards is so dead, there is no life within the walls of that place and he has such passion to make big changes for the ‘kingdom’. 

Ha! What a fool. Those people are going to drag him down and deplete his energy so quickly, he will burn out in an outstanding fashion. You should continue to wake the child up each night at odd times so the pastor will be physically exhausted! That’s diabolical. I’ll make sure he and his wife quarrel and bicker about every little detail in life, you just make sure to continually add to the chaos.  

I’m sure you are a bit nervous. Don’t be. Starting with a devious one like an infant will be quite easy for your first target. It’s when they get older and begin to think for themselves that’s when you will really be challenged. 

Take it one day at a time. Just remember this. Most of the Pastor Kids we’ve targeted have left ministry and the faith. The success rate of us leading them astray is 33%! Us demons long to have those children as our targets, they are so easy to rip apart. You truly have nothing to fear, which reminds me, make sure you torment the child's dreams. Frighten them time and time again. It’s good to insert a healthy dose of fear from infancy, just so you’re not a joke to them when adulthood comes around. 

You’ll be surprised how easily this will come to you. Your role is not one that humans take seriously. You’ll have the advantage on the child and all will be well, you’ll see. 

Don’t forget what I’ve taught you, don’t lose sight of the end. I will write to you soon, fight the bad fight ahead of you with everything you’ve got. Be bold and take chances with your target. To confuse them and introduce chaos to them is our goal.

They already want to choose evil, just spur them onward and downward.
